Nowadays, Micro Hair Pigmentation is the most often chosen solution for camouflaging scars resulting from surgery or hair transplant. During treatment, stubbles which cannot be distinguished from real ones, are tattooed on the scalp. MHP Center Holland makes use of its own specially developed UFT method and equipment.

Initial Interview

During your initial interview our specialists will work with you to figure out the best hairstyle. You will receive all the information on your treatment and we will gladly answer all your questions so you can start your treatment with confidence. You should be aware, in advance, that the scalp may become red during the treatment, for this reason several treatments are required to achieve the best results. The treatments will take place at intervals of about one and a half weeks (10 days).

Pre-Treatment

Always carefully read, in advance, the aftercare instructions so that you know where you stand and what you should consider after the treatment.

Because the stubbles are much finer and are tattooed less deeply into the skin, the Micro Hair Pigmentation treatment is experienced as not painful in 99.9% of the cases. If despite this information you still like an anesthetic (note that this is only possible for a complete skull treatment), you should contact your general practitioner. Ask the general practitioner for the following:

Xylocaine ointment (not the cream!)
This is a narcotic ointment which needs to be lubricated on the area to be treated one and a half hours before the treatment. Always cover the anointed area with a transparent film and then cover it with a hat or cap.

Always tell your general practitioner that the anesthetic ointment will be used for the placement of a medical tattoo.

Other instructions before the treatment:

Wash your hair with shampoo beforehand
Do not use gel, wax or hair powder
Use up to 1 week before and at least 2 weeks after the treatment no Minoxidil.

If you go for the shaven look you need to trim your hair one day before the treatment. MHP Center Holland advises you to shave your whole head.

Tip: When you go for the completely shaven look, we recommend you to lubricate your head lightly with Vaseline a few days before. Your head will be easier to pigment because the scalp will be smoother. This is obviously only meant for people with a completely bald head.

During treatment

The first treatment takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete. During this treatment, which always takes place in a private room, you can watch TV, use our free Wi-Fi network to internet with your mobile or tablet, read a book or just relax. You should always keep in mind that the treated area will be red after the treatment. This is a natural reaction of the skin which takes place with each treatment. This redness will slowly go away during the following days.

You may cover the red skin with a hat and go outside. Note however that you need to rinse your head with cold water after you get home. During the first treatment, all necessary areas will be treated. Because the tattooed stubbles are immediately visible, you can enjoy the stunning result of Micro Hair Pigmentation after the first treatment. You will see that the people around you will not even realize that these tattooed stubbles are not real.

With a Micro Hair Pigmentation treatment hair follicles/ stubbles are tattooed with the aid of a special UFT technique. Tattooing stubbles on the scalp will create an astonishingly natural-looking hair look, also known as the shaven look.

Multiple Treatments

MHP Center Holland wants every customer to get the best results so achieving this takes a little more time. Therefore, multiple treatments will be necessary. Each treatment will take place at an interval of about 10 days. During the treatments that follow the desired hair density will be reached faster and faster.

The experience of MHP Center Holland shows that approximately 2 to 4 treatments will be needed for the desired result. All prices include all necessary treatments. We go on until the desired result is achieved!

During the treatment, from the beginning to the end, various photos are taken. We take these photos to properly monitor the progress. At the end of your treatment, we will look at the before and after photos together with you. All the pictures will be handled discretely and will be kept.

Post-Treatment

Once you have undergone a Micro Hair Pigmentation treatment, it is always important to protect your head against the sun (especially in the summer). Therefore, MHP Center Holland advises you to always rub your head with a high Sun Protection Factor (SPF). By carefully protecting your head, you can be ensured of an optimal lifelong result! If you have an oily or shiny skin, you can get some advice from a drugstore on a mattifying cream.
